Implement#

Implement one slice from a spec using TDD at pre-agreed seams, review it with slice-review, and commit — one slice at a time.

Description#

The implement skill is the ship stage of the slice loop, with a work-in-progress limit of one. It picks the first slice on the frontier (all blockers done, status ready), confirms the choice, builds it with the tdd skill from the slice’s acceptance criteria, reviews the diff with slice-review, then commits and ticks the slice off in both the slice file and the spec’s slices checklist.

It stops after one slice and reports the new frontier. When the final slice of a spec lands, it recommends a whole-spec review with team-review-impl.

Also: “implement the next slice”, “work the frontier”.

Workflow#

  1. Pick (or accept) the slice; confirm with the user.

  2. Read the slice, spec, glossary, and relevant ADRs.

  3. TDD from the acceptance criteria at the pre-agreed seams.

  4. Type checks and single test files regularly; full suite at the end.

  5. slice-review against the pre-slice commit; address findings.

  6. Commit, set status done, tick the checklists, stop.

Output#

One commit per slice, updated slice file and spec checklist, and a frontier report.
